If you are a director and have the required password, here is all you need to have complete access to the current database.

• A computer with a broadband internet connection (DSL, cable or satellite)
• Microsoft Access 2002 or 2003
• The password for the database version you are trying to open

Although there is no reason why you cannot download the database even if you do not have a broadband connection, you may find that it will take an hour or more.  Then, if you have Microsoft Access 2002 or 2003 and you have the password for the current database, you are ready to follow the instructions below. 

So, here are the simple steps required to access the most current version of the database.

1. Click on the link below entitled “Ninos Adelante Database”. 
2. You will be asked if you want to Open or Save the file.  ALWAYS CHOOSE "SAVE" and save to C:\Ninos.  This enable you to open the file quickly any time you need access to the database, thereby saving you the time of downloading it each time you need it.  If you already have a file named "Ninos Adelante Database" on C:\Ninos, replace it with the file you have just downloaded.
3. After you have indicated that you want to Save the file, you need to WAIT.  You have just begun downloading the entire database which will be in the neighborhood of 5-9 million bytes or enough information to fill 3-5 floppies.  The download is likely to take 1-5 minutes, depending on the speed of your web service.  It is important to WAIT until you you see a small window asking you for a database password.
4. Enter the database password in the box provided.
5. When the file finishes downloading, you will be given the option to open the file. Once the file is saved you may have to right click on the file name to open the Properties window for the file and unblock the file.
