One of the many pluses of having so many sponsors spend time in the Zihuatanejo area in January and February each year is that several of our sponsors generously volunteer teach English to those students who are interested in developing their verbal skills.

Even though the 2005 classes are barely over, teachers are already volunteering for English 2006. Some of our teachers are professional ESL teachers and others are simply committed to helping our students be better prepared for their adult world experience.

Among the many benefits of these classes is that students become better able to communicate better with their sponsor families using the skills learned in these classes.

English classes are not confined to hard work. Students attending the Niños Adelante English classes are treated to a Valentines Day Party by teachers and other volunteers.  If you would like to participate as a teacher of teacher helper, please contact Tyrone Bujold at tbujold@mn.rr.com .
