Sponsorship of a student costs far less than most of us would expect. With a contribution of just $300 we are able to cover about half the cost of sending a child to school (uniforms, books, tuition (at Prepatoria level), activities, supplies, lunches and bus transportation). The beca is distributed to the students on a monthly basis and includes a $50 combination birthday & Christmas gift which is distributed with the December beca. Annual statements are distributed to sponsors in June.  Those sponsors who wish to do so are encouraged to make the full beca contribution at that time.  Sponsors are, however, free to make their payments at any time, including making installment payments if that is more convenient for the sponsor.

Students are assigned to individual sponsors.  Payments to students are not, however, linked to receipt of sponsor contributions. Once a commitment is made to fund a student through grade 12, providing the student remains eligible, scholarship payments are made to the student without regard to whether a sponsor has made a beca contribution.
