Attendance at the January and February Student Breakfasts held at the Fontan Hotel in Ixtapa set an all time high mark with just over 470 attendees at the two functions.  Ninety sponsors visited with not only their own students but the students of an additional 12 sponsors who could not attend but had made advance arrangements to be represented.

In addition to the sponsors and students there were 305 family members of the students, 20 translators and members of the Board of directors of Fundacion Niños Adelante

Each year more and more sponsors take advantage of these two conveniently scheduled breakfast meetings to visit with their students. They are fun and informative relationship building opportunities that mean very much to the students.  These organized pre arranged affairs also relieve the pressure on Jose Bustos, of arranging individual custom meetings between sponsors and students during the very busy months of Jan & Feb. Sponsors who visit Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo during this period next year can be very helpful by making every effort to attend one of the breakfasts in place of utilizing Jose, to arrange a private meeting. 

Registration notices for the January 11 and February 15 Student Sponsor Breakfasts will be sent to all sponsors in the fall of this year.

If you were in Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo between mid-January and mid-February and did not attend one of the breakfast reunions you, your becado and your becado's family are missing something important.  We strongly encourage you to participate next year to learn more about your becado and his or her family as well as provide your becado and his family an opportunity to express their gratitude to you.
