Possible Solution to Being Unable to Open Website Maps

 

It is likely that the following steps will enable you to open the embedded Google maps on the website.

 

  1. In Menu Bar near the top of the Internet Explorer screen, Click Tools > Internet Options.  If you don't see the Menu Bar, press Alt on your keyboard to show menus.

  2. Click the Security tab.

  3. Select the "Trsuted sites" icon and click the Sites button.  Delselect the option "Require server verification for all sites in this zone."

  4. In the text field Add this Web site to the zone, type "maps.google.com" (without quotes) and click Add.

  5. Repeat step five to add the following sites: "local.google.com", "www.google.com", and  "*.google.com" (all without quotes.)

  6. Click OK, then click OK again to save your changes.

Although it may or may not be necessary, we encourage you to also clear your browser cache.  To clear your cache in Internet Explorer 8.0+, follow these steps.

 

  1. In Internet Explorer, click Tools.  If you don't see the Menu Bar, press Alt on your keyboard to show menus.

  2. Select Delete Browsing History.

  3. Select the checkbox next to "Temporary Internet Files".

  4. Click Delete.

  5. It can take several minutes for the cache history to be deleted.  Once the files have been deleted, click Okay.
